The beautiful Praia dos Ingleses, in Florianópolis, will once again host the Itaú BBA IRONMAN 70.3 Florianópolis, which will kick off the IRONMAN 70.3 and IRONMAN circuit race calendar in Brazil in 2024. On April 14, amateur triathletes from around the world will come together to face the 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike ride and 21.1 km run in one of the fastest and most demanding races on the calendar.
Ironman: The Fight for Places in the World Championship
The event will also be crucial for triathletes seeking to qualify for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship 2024, to be held in Taupo, New Zealand. There will be 30 places in the Age Group, male and female, in addition to 15 places exclusively for women, as part of the Women For Tri program. This global initiative created in 2015 by the IRONMAN brand aims to help the growth of the female audience in long-distance triathlon races around the world.
